- Hmm, I thought it was $299 ++ (shipping/maybe tax/ etc). $280? Is there some
- rebate, or are remarketers selling it for less?
-
- I also noticed on my card that if you order it now you get a couple manuals
- free (useful), and a copy of spectre VR on cdrom for free (totally useless, I
- would rather have more manuals free!)
-
- I started this thread and just wanted to say the following: The product may
- well be worth the upgrade, but since it is a major new release with lots of
- new function, I would feel better if the first update, which in my opinion
- will be primarily for bug fixes, were free!
-
- After all anything else you buy these days, *except* software comes with a
- warranty, that entitles you to a fix. A money back guarantee is not the
- same it only says you'll get your money back, but does not guarantee
- fixes to problems.
-
- To net it all out, if Borland wants to charge these prices, they should
- have a subscription for the compiler. Thats it plain and simple.
